Building Bridges and Enhancing Collaboration

A 45-person team development engagement that broke departmental silos and produced actionable communication pledges adopted by management.
The challenge
Communication gaps between local and EU staff, and a persistent perception of organisational silos, were slowing coordination across the Delegation.
Our approach
In a scavenger-hunt challenge, 45 staff — including the Ambassador and local team — imagined EUDEL 50 years into the future, gathering stories from venue staff to design a projected "Sustainable EUDEL Museum". The activity forced active listening, clear idea-sharing and negotiation ahead of a final role-play presentation.
The results
The session produced actionable pledges to practise empathetic listening and engage beyond immediate teams, with management committing to formalise these pledges into measurable operational improvements. Key lesson: clear, respectful, structured communication is the engine of coordination and efficiency.
